| Description | Alright, I've been playing DF for a while now but it's been at least a year since I've played. I tried downloading the new version of the game and it extracts fine but when I try to play it says main index files missing/corrupted, make sure it is in the Data folder. It is in there and I've tried downloading multiple times after deleting and even copying the files but nothing, I get the same error. The only time it seems to open is when I'm in the zip folder and double click the exe. Any ideas on how to fix this? | ||||

To what location on your hard drive are you unzipping the files? What OS are you using? |

I am unzipping them to a folder on my desktop which I have done in the past on multiple occasions and have them work. And I am using windows 7. |

Alright I seem to have fixed this.... I decided that I should try to unzip it to my documents folder and it works.... I apologize for wasting your time, my good sir and I thank you for attempting to help me. I still don't understand why it wouldn't work the first time. |
