Summary0008379: Dwarfs will not attack elven Merchants
DescriptionDwarfs will not attack elven merchants even if I order them to do so. My dwarfs will still engage in combat with other targets.

Additional InformationThis is the second wave of elven merchants to arrive. I killed the fist group with my military. My military dwarfs will rush up to the elves and hug them close but not engage in any combat. The horse the brought have the same problem. I did not try to engage until after they had unloaded the goods in the Trade depot. Deconstructing the depot had no effect.

Side note: From the last elven caravan I got two critter animals that showed up on my animal list as tame, probably not related but I have never seen it before so it might be significant.

As some extra insight, I've found lately that my dwarves won't attack elven merchants when they (the elves) are in a 'fleeing in terror!' state. If I backed away, and let them exit that state (grabbing their caravans and trying to leave), then I could attack successfully again.
