Summary | 0008460: An error occurs when a child you have rescued tries to reunite with a parent who is in a tree, massive lag is caused.
Description | After rescuing an (so far I've only see it with elves) elf child and leading it to its parent the parent is usually in one of the tree houses of a forest retreat. Usually when the child sees its parent it paths towards the parent while both of them saying "is it really you?" and then you get the joyous reunion hug blue announcement and the child leaves your companion list. However when the parent is in a tree they do not path towards each other and there is MASSIVE lag. The child does leave your companion list but there is no blue reunion announcement. The error log has this message: path fail: elf,73,48,148 -> 90,38,152: Id 0001828:Path Goal Reunion:Station Commander at 74,48,148 path fail: elf,90,38,152 -> 73,48,148: Id 0004416:Path Goal Reunion:Station None at 90,38,152
Steps To Reproduce | Rescue a elf child from a goblin site, lead it to the forest retreat its parent is at. If its parent is in a tree the error will occur.
Additional Information | I have seen this bug consistantly with every treed parent i would guess its because the child can't climb or path up trees. I have a fairly good computer to handle the lag I don't know how well other computers would handle it. I labeled this as major for that reason I apologize if that is not the correct label.

I think I saw a bug report similar to this. Edit: Maybe not, might be remembering a forum post. Also, do you have a save for it? If so, could you post to DFFD and link here. Also, I've noticed issues where companions who climbed a tree are unable to get back down on their own, though if attacking someone, they path fine. |
