Summary | 0008462: Haulers steal building material
Description | I set up a block stockpile with orders to take from links only, linking to my blocks stockpile. Since building the second level of walls require you to orchestrate the build order exactly, I ordered building of the next segment of the wall as the mason was building the previous one. However, the pre prepared stockpile was robbed by haulers that decided they needed to top up the bins since one block had been removed from the bin. I changed the tactics (as that is a legal behavior) to define all the squares of the second level of the wall, and then suspended all but the valid ones (at the ends). That did not stop the hauler robberies, however, as the haulers gladly removed the bins containing the dedicated building material. I'm fairly sure I saw one mason chasing a hauler with a bin, trying to get at the designated block inside the bin, until I removed the build order and recreated it using a free block available at the local stockpile.

Assuming this was fixed by the jobs rewrite. If anyone has a save that reproduces this problem in the latest version, please upload it to http://dffd.wimbli.com/ and reopen this report (or PM a manager on the forums). |
