Summary0000849: [minor spoilers] blind creatures in Adv. Mode don't fight back unless you wrestle them
DescriptionI was swimming around in a cavern and encountered a group of Pond Grabbers. I can hit them with weapons all I want and they don't respond, but if I wrestle them, then they fight back.

It might be the case that they either don't have the [EXTRAVISION] tag or that it isn't working as intended. Have you tried dealing with blind cave bears? Toady added the tag and tweaked them so they fit their name better. I see that blind cave ogers don't have the extravision tag so I suspect this is a raws problem.

Its not just adventure mode, it even happens in normal mode.

Its probably just that we don't normally have naturally blind critters in vanilla, so we don't really know if that behavior is intended.
