Summary | 0008574: Walls can be placed to build in locations where it is impossible to build them
Description | For example: http://imagr.eu/up/5470cb5e800ac_canbuildcantbuild.png Dwarves can walk onto the tile where the un-built wall is, but they cannot stand perpendicular to it. So it should register as 'must have perpendicular access' or whatever the error message is.
Steps To Reproduce | * Build a spiralling rampway upwards. * Attempt to build a wall diagonally from an up ramp and perpendicular from a down ramp (see fig in description)
Additional Information | Save file to follow. I'll check if there are any other simple cases where DF is confused as to whether you can build or not.

Did you designate the walls as a group? If so, this is intended behavior. |
|
No. As seen in the piccy there is only one wall square, and you can remove it and replace it as a single tile build. |
|
Belated save file. Check the central tower. http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=10114 [Edit] There's an simpler case too. * Build a ramp next to a wall. * Build a wall on top of the first wall. There should be some sort of error, but instead it lets you place the wall (but it cannot actually be built there). |
