Other player here. 40.19 on Arch Linux x86_64. Nothing shows on screen, in announcements, in gamelog.txt, or in errorlog.txt. Some other keys that usually show something that now don't: o, alt+k, q, f (when without a ranged weapon), d, g, e, u, I (when choosing something without an interaction). Some keys that still show something: s, x, j, l Conversation and combat messages all appear to display. This happens with old saves that I know didn't have this problem before. Also happens with new worlds. It's the same with all the different values for PRINT_MODE, full-screen and windowed. I've rebooted the computer. I can't think of anything else to try except re-installing. Judging by what is in gamelog.txt it was working on 40.18. |

What OS are you using? I use Windows 8 (and DF version 40.19) and don't have any issues with those keys. Are you seeing any 'empty announcement ###' in the errorlog? In any case, connected to 0008596 for announcement related issues. |

@ziusudra: Okay, probably not the same issue as 0008596 then. It could still be given a related tag to lump the announcement related issues together. Pisskop still needs to state what OS they're using because I'm using windows 8 and not seeing the problem. |

Oh, hm, wierd that I'm also using windows though it's windows 8 (whatever version the latest version number is) and yet I'm not having any issues. |
