| Summary | 0008622: Can't spawn some underground creatures in Arena mode. | ||||
| Description | When I tried to spawn a cave floater in Arena mode, I couldn't find it through the filter or the list. I could also see a bunch of other creatures were not on the list. Checking with the wiki, I think it is only some underground creatures that have been omitted, though there could be more. I re-downloaded 0.40.19 onto a different part of my computer to make sure that the raws weren't accidently changed, but they were still missing. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Go to Arena mode, press c to spawn a creature and type "cave", "blind" or "pond" into the filter, notice several species aren't listed. | ||||
| Additional Information | I think it could originate from the compiling issue that happened a while back. | ||||

Did you forget to remove the [ARENA_RESTRICTED] tag from the creatures in the creature_next_underground raw file? |

Yes, all underground creatures in creature_next_underground have [ARENA_RESTRICTED], causing them not to appear in arena mode, presumably for spoiler reasons. That's deliberate, though it's possible that Toady might change it at some point. |
