Summary | 0008840: Resting dwarf teleports
Description | A dwarf on a medical table for surgery was left unattended and instead rested for the better part of a year. He has two badly injured fingers. The medical staff is entirely untrained and he was probably abandoned to build walls or haul trade goods. Removing the table left him laying on the floor (in the save). I attempted to rebuild the table under him (results not recorded) Removing part of the hospital zone causes him to teleport to a new bed. Removing all of the zone causes him to leave, and resume work. Adding the zone back caused him to return to a bed. Something funny is going on, probably to due with Hospital Stuckness, and Abandoned Jobs. After he was in a bed, removing the part of the zone just caused him to return to work.
Steps To Reproduce | Not certain. In the save provided, remove part or all of the hospital zone where Zan sleeps on the floor. You may need to try to build a table under him first. Haven't experimented much.

Reminder sent to: AxDeath The being left on the surgery table should be covered by 0003198. The dwarf in question here isn't teleporting, he is merely walking to a new bed. It is easier to see what is going on if you appoint a chief medical dwarf. You may be missing having suturing enabled on one of your doctors - I enabled it on one of the bowyers and after he did his thing, one of the cooks came along and set the bone. Let me know if this solves your problem. |
|
Note, a couple of these are nail injuries, see 0004498. |
|
The suturing labor seems to have been the issue. If you find otherwise, and it isn't covered by one of the referenced reports, please reopen this report or contact a manager on the forums. |
