on z-level 1 you are building a wall on pecan tree branches. remove the construction and see if you still experience a crash. funnily enough, I can't confirm it myself b/c my game doesn't crash, even after a couple of ingame days.

if that solves it, this is a duplicate of 0008719

Yeah, it should be that wall. Once that Lorbam Larbomsomething, chief medical dwarf, got close to that wall and deposited the stone to start building, game crashed for me.

Bytheway, do note enemies can climb and jump in this version and you have so many trees in front of your gates that going from branch to branch should be quite easy for any invaders. Better build those walls higher or call woodcutters.
(Edit: In this crashing in mind, I vote for woodcutters.)

Interesting...I actually ran it twice and my game didn't crash. The construction was finished and the tree...just vanished. Might be another aspect to the bug.

@Afghani84: I have loaded it in vanilla 0.40.24 on Linux. If you are using DF version prior 0.40.24, instead of crash (0008719) those trees do just vanish (0006551).

Thanks guys. We will go with 0008719 since the reporter stated 40.24. If it turns out to be otherwise (such as 0006551), please PM a manager on the forums.
