| Description | If channeling stone from above (-1 z-level from dwarf) the rate and visual effects are the same as mining. If channeling stone from the side (from say on a ramp but channeling on the same z-level from dwarf) the rate and visual effects are the same as if they are tunneling soil | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Whenever I channel and the dwarfs have the ability to channel from the side and do so this happens. | ||||

I don't quite understand the issue. If the dwarf is on the same level as the channeling request, it will look like he is digging a hole (intended). If he is one level below the and channeling a request that is 1z higher, it will look like he is digging on his level (intended as well). This can fyi only be done if there is a ramp for him to stand on. Is that what you are trying to say? If so, I'm 100% sure that it is intended behavior. |

Is the problem in that speed of channelling is reported to be different, according to from which side it was done? Or what should be different than it is now, mordred? |

There are two issues: Channeling from the side is faster than channeling from above. Note: Only true for stone channeling, not soil channeling. Very minor: The animation is different for the two. (If this is intended behavior I apologize.) |
