Summary | 0008926: A Deep Pit intersects with a hollow adamantine spire, causing Hell to be revealed without digging
Description | Saved game at http://dffd.bay12games.com/file.php?id=10783 Unmodded 0.40.19, world generated with the same version. A fire-breathing forgotten beast got stuck trying to destroy a magma forge at the bottom of the caverns. (known issue mentioned in the wiki for "Building destroyers", but I can't find a bug number for it) While we had the caverns sealed off waiting for migrants to bring the population back up, and trying to figure out how to deal with the fire breather, two more forgotten beasts wandered in. One of them chased livestock into a previously unexplored section of the caverns and suddenly Hell was open. It appears that the bottom of a Deep Pit intersected with the hollow spire. This seems to be distinct from bug 0001791 because that bug involves the magma sea and high cliffs. Here, the land is almost completely flat, and the magma sea does not seem to be involved in the bug. The hollow spire goes all the way up through the magma sea and into the deep pit. Also distinct from 0003319 because, again, the magma sea is not involved; and Hell was not revealed instantly on embark but only when the FB chased the domestic animal close enough to the Hellmouth.
