Summary | 0008952: No noble positions after only dwarf in fort transforms into werebeast
Description | During a weregiraffe attack, one of my marksdwarves caught the affliction. Said dwarf ended up killing all of the other dwarves in the fort during his transformations into a weregiraffe. When he was the only dwarf left in the fort, I checked the units page when he was transformed, and saw a phrase along the lines of "There are no dwarves living in this fort." He ended up surviving until the next migrant wave. I decided to recruit some of the migrants into the military. Instead, the military screen told me "You need somebody who can appoint this position." I decided to open up the nobles screen to check if there was a noble position for me to fill, but no nobles were listed. The nobles screen is empty except for the controls listed at the bottom of the screen. As a result, I am prevented from having any nobles or soldiers whatsoever in my fort.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Have no dwarves left in the fort except for one, afflicted with a werebeast condition. 2. Have the dwarf transform into a megabeast. Observe that there are no dwarves listed in the units screen. 3. Have the dwarf transform back into a dwarf. Observe that there are no noble positions available.
Additional Information | I have the most recent save as well as seasonal backups of the fort available that I can upload upon request. I was using DFHack during these events, but only to run StoneSense. No other DFHack commands were used.

This is a duplicate of another bug, I just can't remember it's number off of the top of my head. It's a specific case thereof. 0005299 |
