Summary0008972: Immediate "no response" crash when scrolling down a page while selecting a starting civ in adventure mode.
DescriptionMy game crashed repeatedly, when I tried to go down a page to select a retired adventurer. I have many civilizations and the first selection screen doesn't fit them all. I can choose any other adventurer on the current page, so it has to be the change to the next page. (Are next pages even there programming-wise?)
I also have a "all civs playable mod" significantly increasing the count of available civs. Because of this and the fact that others propably dont have that many civs, I gave this low priority.
Steps To ReproduceWhile i have not yet tried to, I am fairly certain that creating a world with 2 years, max civs and big area should fill the rooster of selectable civilizations pretty well.

I can't reproduce this in a freshly-generated world (with three pages of civilizations to choose from), so it's more likely an issue with a civ in your world that appears on a later page than an issue with the display of additional pages. A save (preferably uploaded to http://dffd.bay12games.com/) would be necessary in order to reproduce this problem.

Maybe there is a trouble with some character in the name of that civilization and game is not sure how to show it. Or, IIRC, sies of currently selected civilizations are showed in map there. Maybe there is some error in the serch for those.

I am currently on my tablet, but i will see that I can upload the save sometime today. However, it has the "all civs playable" mod, so it may just aswell be that. I kinda just wanted to confirm if you even can select other pages in that screen.
Ps: the adventurer in question has a very long name. Could that cause problems?

That doesn§t sound like the best option but, can you try making new adventurer with some short name and see if you can select some of those lower civilizations? Also, try to go to Legends and see if browsing through the full list of civilizations crashes on you too - if it does the issue is probably something with civilization and its name, not the beggining of adventure mode.

Last idea: is there anything interesting in the errorlog in DF folder?

I cannot seem to find the world, but there is another world that crashes on loading the "start playing/adventurer" option. At this point, I am not entirely sure wether I should still bother with trying to fix this, as the issue occured a long time ago.
So, should I still bother? My internet situation is a bit complicated, and I am not sure wether it'll be the right save.

Can't reproduce this without a save, sorry. If you (or anyone else) can find a save where this occurs, please upload it to http://dffd.bay12games.com/ and let a manager know on the forums.
