Summary | 0008994: Jobs interrupted to harvest
Description | A job currently being done, with the only currently known exception so far of hauling, will be interrupted to harvest by any who are able to harvest. (IE any dwarf when set to "All harvest" and only those who have grower enable when set to "Only farmers harvest".) The job is not cancelled or suspended in the same fashion the game normally would. It does not disappear as it would if cancelled, nor is it shown in the jobs list with a red "S" next to it as it would if suspended. Instead they simply stop doing whatever they were working on, go to harvest, then restart their previous job as if nothing had happened. This effect produces a relatively minor slow down in work normally, but for a fortress that produces a large amount of crops (IE a sweatshop) work performed by dwarves is slowed significantly when crops become available for harvest.
Steps To Reproduce | Wait for plants to become ready for harvest, watch as dwarves stop in the middle of what they are doing to harvest said plants.
