Summary | 0009209: Dwarves assigned to repeatedly pull levers do not stay with them
Description | Before 0.42.01, dwarves assigned to repeatedly pull a lever would do so by staying on the lever's tile and repeatedly flipping it on and off without departing. Now, dwarves will pull the lever once, leave the tile displaying their task as "No job" and then reacquire the "Pull the lever" job as soon as they've gotten a few tiles away, go back to the lever, flip it once, and repeat the cycle. This messes up the viability of certain things that required a dwarf to repeatedly flail a lever back and forth.
Steps To Reproduce | Build a lever, and then assign a job to pull the lever and put it on repeat.

duplicate of | 0008710 | new | Weird interaction when pulling levers on repeat. |
|
Duplicate of 0008710 Incidentally, this behaviour is not exclusive/specific to lever-pulling. Dwarfs on repeat jobs no longer stay "attached" to the job location, they now generally have a small delay between finishing one job and acquiring another one, which they'll typically use to wander a dozen or so steps away from the workshop. |
