0.42.02 has 0009129, "Crash when calendar is advancing", fixed. If you manage to get a save with embark site which does not note an aquifer from world view, upload this save (zipped region folder) to http://dffd.bay12games.com/ , please.

Scootieloo, sometimes an embark site can have multiple biomes on it. When embarking, did you use F1, F2, F3, etc. to check each of the biomes (if multiple were present) to see if one of them had an aquifer on it? The biomes quite often differ in different aspects, some of which include aquifers.

(I actually frequently utilize this myself in order to be able to get a map with an aquifer and still not have too much trouble getting past it. You can simply go around, and aquifers are incredibly useful at times.)

The biome explanation seems most likely to me. Anyway, uploading the newly-created world before embarking would be most helpful, so Toady/others can get to the world map more easily, and the calendar crash shouldn't interfere with that since it happens after the world is generated.

Checked out the old world and the embark site was on a single biome. However, I've run 12 worlds on ver 42.02 and did not have this issue - perhaps it was fixed? I'm not sure, this was a strange error.

Okay, reopen this if you can reproduce the problem.
