Summary | 0009313: Large plant gathering zone seems to cause major FPS drop.
Description | Created a large plant gathering zone, which ended up dropping my fort's FPS to very low levels. Started suspecting the zone, removed it, suddenly my dwarves were quick again.
Steps To Reproduce | 1) Create a very large plant gathering zone 2) Observe lag
Additional Information | The plant gathering zone had numerous trees.

In which time of year was it? Details such as trees blossoming or dropping leaves are known to be quite powerhungry. Or did you literally designate gathering zone, unpaused, noted falling FPS, paused again after few seconds/minutes, removed the zone, unpaused and noted FPS are not falling? Or was there more time between designing of the zone and its removal? Can you please upload to http://dffd.bay12games.com/ a save (zipped region folder) that has the zone with such impact designed ? EDIT: Also, just to check, are you using any third party tools or is this vanilla DF? Have you got any Herbalists around? Maybe they all started pathing to those trees designated for fruits picking. |

Most likely pathing spam issue since I had several herbalists. I retired the fort/save when the new version came out. I'll post a save if it happens again. |
