Description | When I try to "Prepare Lavish Meal" at the Kitchen, I get the error, "Urist, Cook cancels Prepare Lavish Meal: Needs unrotten cookable solid item." In the stocks screen I have ~ 2000 turkey eggs and ~ 2000 hen eggs. I also have a wide variety of meat and cheese available. It's set as allowed for cooking in the stocks -> cooking sub-menu. Not sure if it affects the issue at all but this fortress started out in DF v0.42.01 and quite a few days ago I migrated it to v0.42.03. The kitchen issue seems to have only cropped up now though, so I don't think it's relevant. | ||||

When you put #, hash sign, in front of number it makes a link to the issue report of that number. When you put ~, tilde sign, in front of number it makes a link to the note of that number. I downloaded your save: you have furniture stockpile that is accepting only large pots linked to both kitchens. It is just east of them. After I removed those two links cooks started cooking again. P.S.: Looking at your two large bridges at the entrance, you may want to build such things rather from blocks then rough stones. Stones can get cut into 4 blocks so you get more material that way and blocks are also quite lighter, making constructions much faster. |

Omg... Did not cross my mind at all to check stockpiles :/ Will definitely keep this in mind in the future. Thanks so much for having a look at the save and figuring out the problem! This issue can be closed. |
