Description | Long-term residents can't be assigned to any squad. Neither from their unit screen nor from military one. That sounds intentional. But while they even don't have squads listed in their unit screens they still have "n" - "create new squad" and "x" - "remove from squad" active there. I think all squad related things in unit screens of long-term residents should a) be removed and instead something like "This citizen is only long-term resident and can't thus be assigned to squads." put there b) or be at least fully greyed and not working c) or just be removed, similarly to how "slaugther" option is shown/missing for animals/pets | ||||
Steps To Reproduce | - create location, say, a tavern - set it to "All visitors welcome" - wait for visitors - wait for one of them asking for long-term residency - accept that "P"etition - "u"--->"z" to get to their unit screen - switch to "p"roffesion tab - note the weird state of their squad interface in unit screen | ||||
Additional Information | "x" doesn't seem to do anything. "n" let's you select uniform, then it creates new military captain position and new squad. Which you can't even note in this unit screen because, as said, there is not that list of squads. So it still seems like nothing happens. | ||||

I was able to create a squad with the long term resident and then going back I was able to then reassign him to another squad position, making long term residents my pawns to attack and move where I want :) |

I had only human bards when I wrote this. As I wrote in 0009444, long-term residents of "mercenary" type can be added to squads and their unit screen is working properly (it also lists all squads) though they can't be set at position 1, as military captains. |
