Summary | 0009734: Adventurer forts can be embarked over normally, this breaks them on return to adventurer mode.
Description | Tested by making a site, tried to build a fort over part of it (a 1x2 section from the center tile to the bottom center tile) and was able to do so. Upon embarking I found that the full 3x3 site is now overlapped with a fort and it is no longer possible to do any work at this site with the adventure mode building interface. This might be intended but it feels like a bug that you can't reclaim > use the site that way, but can embark over it and lose the ability to do further adventurer mode modifications. Oh and combat logs with "bruising the skin" show as "ruising the skin" apparently!
Steps To Reproduce | Create an adventurer site. Make a hall zone, claim it, and retire there. Embark on top of it. Retire the fort. Switch back to your adventurer and try to make more changes at the site.

Who does Legends Mode state is the owner of the site now? Being able to embark over adventurer sites was planned from the start but I guess having overlapping sites is tricky (same reason you can't build an adventurer site on top of an existing site presumably). |
I'm sure 0009737 plays at least some part, but we will leave this open as a separate issue. The text about bruising will need to be its own bug report. |
Checked it and the fort still prevents further work, and if it helps I noticed the following: Retired adventurer, embarked on my camp, retired the fort: http://i.imgur.com/KJRj4rm.png Results in the "no authority to build here" message. Abandoned the fort, unretired adventurer: http://i.imgur.com/teEBnse.png Results in the normal "you cannot build until you leave this site" message. |
Ok, thanks for the follow-up. We will see if it's intentional (forts have precedence over adventurer claims). |
