Description | Sometimes when the adventurer is surrounded by too many entities engaged in combat, the game will freeze. I don't have a save that can reliably demonstrate this issue, as it won't always occur even when I intentionally try to cause it. However, I can detail some of the scenarios which has led to it: * I traveled to the top of a tower in dark pits. When the multitude of goblins there began to flee for the staircase where I was standing, the game froze. There were around six or seven goblins labeled "No Quarter" within striking distance when this occurred. * I attacked a lord in a keep while surrounded by several of their hearthpeople. The game froze shortly after they all had surrounded me. * I was in a dark fortress surrounded by several fleeing goblins/trolls. The game froze as I brushed past them. * I took control of an entity in arena mode to test this issue. When the number of combatants was raised to about ten enemy entities to my one, the game froze when they all came within striking distance. This took a few attempts, however. In most of these instances, I gave the game ample time to process (15-30 minutes) before closing it, but it remained unresponsive. | ||||

More specifically: when you have somewhere around 20 units within range and try to aim an attack you can pretty much guarantee it will end up freezing if they are all also trying to hit you. It can happen with less enemies when they all sync up and swing at you at the same time you try to hit one, but once you get up in the 20+ enemy range it happens really consistently. |

They don't even need to be attacking you, or vice versa. If there're enough units around you during combat, and they're all moving/talking/attacking/etc., the game seems to like to crash. During the first instance of freezing I mentioned, I believe I was pressing the wait button as the goblins ran past; I didn't even try to attack. Well, I'm probably much faster than your adventurer (10.0 spd) so it's easier to exactly what triggers it. I noticed it earlier when I woke a mummy and set off a zombie apocalypse, I helped the townsfolk fight them off but had to be careful if I walked up to the really big pile of 20 something zombies chewing on a downed soldier and did anything it would freeze. On the other hand if I just jumped into the crowd I was able to tackle them off the soldier safely because I wasn't aiming attacks. |

I see. At any rate, I've experienced this issue in the same way you have the vast majority of the times it's occurred: trying to aim an attack while surrounded by several entities definitely seems to be the most reliable way to trigger it. |

I'm encountering the same issue, while fighting a zombie horde at a necromancer tower. When the game freezes, I see my CPU monitor go up to 100% (of a core). Makes it rather awkward to deal with a zombie horde. |

Just encountered the same issue after being surrounded by a bandit group and trying to aim an attack at them. There were 20 bandits in total, which is in the same range other people have reported before. |
