Do you have any strange moods (0008761) or titans/forgotten beasts (0009575)? Also, did it actually crash or just freeze? I can't tell from watching the video, because the DF window stays open. (Thanks for the demo, in any case, that is helpful) |

yes, in the save file one of the dwarves is stark raving mad, and while it's not in the safe file *yet* a few minutes later there is a forgotten beast that will most likely appear in cavern below, or it was there briefly but was made of mud and disolved in the water in the cavern. you are correct as well the game does not actually crash, dump, and return, it is hanging. |

If you have access to DFHack, can you try killing off the dwarf or forgotten beast and see if killing one fixes it (or wait for each of them to die on their own to see)? Your save is large enough that I'd prefer not to download it. "Stark raving mad" isn't what I was referring to - but did that dwarf have a mood before? |

Sorry for the long delay, I can confirm that if I open the save file exterminate the dwarf, un-pause, let him die, then tightly close and forbid passage and un-pause again the game does not crash. it looks like he needs to be in there for it to crash. the dwarf was in a fey mood before and wasn't able to complete it's task. please tell clinodev I updated the bug report so he'll call off the bounty hunters |

That's the first time I've seen clinodev mentioned here, so that sounds like something you'll have to tell him. Anyway, thanks for the update. |
