Summary | 0001087: Skeletal/zombie creature description says they're bleeding, severed parts leave blood trail
Description | I did some fights in the arena with the new undead and noticed something in the unit description. "His [severed body part] is gouting [species] blood" Why are severed body parts listed as gouting and why is there blood involved? also, the severed parts create blood splatter on impact.
Steps To Reproduce | chop off some skeleton's body parts
Additional Information | Though there is blood in bones, I don't think some century-old skeleton guarding an ancient place should have anything that splatters anymore. :D

I'm noticing this with zombies as well. |
What about the "gouting"? I can't make heads nor tail of it. Isn't gout a totally unrelated disease? Unrelated to chopping arms of, that is. |
Its like spewing out or something. |
gushing maybe? |
Why are severed body parts listed there anyway? I don't mean "His/Her [body part] is gone", no they were listed as "His/Her [body part] is gouting" even though it lay several meters away. |
I've got it on a skeletal elk that I jumped off a tower with. New health system shows it has arteries in three leg muscles that have all been torn, which is where all the blood is coming from. |

re Footkerchief adding the tag: When I was fighting that zombie giant tiger, I noticed that it said it was bleeding, but since I didn't lop off any parts, I didn't see any blood being spattered around. Or maybe it was those peasant skeletons raised from a temple, I forget exactly. Should be easy to test in arena. Edit: Okay, tested in arena with a zombie giant tiger (no armor, obviously) and a dwarf in full steel, steel shield and short sword, and with grand master observer, dodger, shield, and armor using, and skilled swordsman. Took a little while, but after I lopped off a paw, heavy bleeding showed up when I looked at it. Plus theres a spattering of giant tiger blood where the severed paw is. Edit2: Version 40.09 |
smjjames: zombies bleeding is fine. It's only weird if skeletal creatures bleed. |
Okay, I'll check that, when I can. I don't think you can make creatures skeletal in arena. |
