| Description | I have a fortress with a staircase from the surface surrounded by walls. I put up a stair. Six logs were on top of the walls from saplings that grew, so were cut down. I attempted to build a roof. I could only use the logs on top of the walls. I have 700 logs according to my stocks screen. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Build a wall around a open area, then attempt to build a roof. If you have logs on top of the wall, you will only be able to build with those logs. If you don't then you will not be able to build anything. | ||||

The game only displays building materials accessible from the build site. The behavior you've described is consistent with an inaccessible area. (Note that an "up stair" is insufficient without a "down stair" on the level above.) How do i upload? |

1) Locate the appropriate regionX folder in <dwarf fortress directory>/data/save/ 2) Compress the regionX folder into an archive file (.zip, .rar, etc.) using your OS or a utility (like the open source 7-zip) 3) Upload the archive file to DFFD ( http://dffd.bay12games.com/ ) 4) Post a link to the DFFD file here |
