Summary0001512: no natural cave flora on maps without underground water sources?
DescriptionI embarked on a 2x2 site that had no naturally occurring water in the cavern layers, and the layers were also devoid of plant life. i have not yet attempted to reproduce this issue, so it's very possible that the occurrence was a fluke or due to other factors

There's a very good chance this is intended behavior.

In my experience, using normal sized maps with water in the caves etc, There's usually a cavern level with mud but no flora(usually), then a second, unconnected cavern with flora and generally more scarier creatures. Water may be present in one or both cave systems. Try digging deeper.

Maybe you just happened on a cavern that is the equivalent of a desert? Anyways, certainly sounds normal to me.
