Summary | 0001536: Military will not path to flying creatures with kill order
Description | See title. Made a kill order on a Cave Swallow that was hovering one Z-level over the ground. My squad proceeded to completely ignore it and returned to their barracks. Save file available on demand.
Steps To Reproduce | Find a flying creature, wait until it's in mid-air, and issue a kill order against it.
Tags | kill, Military, pathfinding

Sounds like a pathing issue here, but then again, the kill order thing is suppousedly broken. |
|
ah! That explains many wierdnesses I've been seeing. |
|
Ahh, well, firstly, a "flying" unit that normally can't fly is in a kind of quantum state of uncertainty between living and dead. Basically, they are there but not "there". Secondly, dwarfs can't really reach something that is flying, per se, so issuing a kill order against it is kind of moot. Note that I might be misunderstanding what you are trying to say. |
|
Cave swallows do fly, so the first part of what you said is incorrect. |
