Description | in my current game i have struck an aquificer and redirected that water that filled my tunnels outside through a hole in the north wall. under that wall i have dug a chanel north so the water can flow away through it to a larger open area north. while i dug the chanel i struck another aquificer (i think... atleast when i was near the wall hole for the other water, i think i hit another aquificer as my chanel already filled itsself with water.) (maybe this is important for the bug? as the aquificer water from the level above flows into the aquificer water one level below into that chanell now?) and while the water happyly flows north to the large free area a hunter killed some wolves in that open area in the water. and the blood somehow flows south into the chanell instead of spreading out to the north with the flow of water. i uploaded a ingame movie of this here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/tiynmit5zcd/blood flow in water.cmv | ||||

it can be seen quite well when (in my save above) the refuse stockpile at the entrance (where all the unrottenable rat remains pile up) and then make a new one down a few Z levels in that hole near that area where the water spreads out north west. then the dwarfs carry the remains through the water down the hole and the blood, that is stuck on nearly every dwarf gets washed away in the lake. sometimes the blood flows right (spreading out with the waterflow and down the hole), but after a while it starts to turn around and flow south into that chanel again. -------------------------------- also blood related is this forum topic: http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=9197.0 that i.e. one tile of blood gets spread around into 50 tiles when dwarfs walk over it often enough. and blood not vaporiseing (disappearing)like "1/7 water". maybe blood could be made more like a fluid (water) with some X/7 per tile mechanic...? and as one tile can hold "7/7 fluids" a tile could be filled with "3/7 water" and "1/7 blood". i guess you already had some mechanic for blood and that its just a bug atm that it flows upsteam in that chanel... or that one tile of blood gets spread out into 50 tiles... or that blood does not "disappear on its own"... atleast that forum-topic might be worth a look. |
