Summary | 0002404: Civilizations Vanish after Embark
Description | The other civilizations disappear after you embark, leaving your Dwarven civilization and any primitive native ones (although those seem bugged). The missing civilizations do not attack you or send caravans.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Start a new Fortress game. 2. Choose a site with access to more than one civilization. 3. Embark. 4. Check the Civilizations screen; it will not list human, elven, or goblin civilizations.
Additional Information | I tried embarking right on top of an elven village; the elven civilization didn't show up on the Civilizations screen, but an Unnamed Reptile man civilization did. The Details screen for it was missing lots of info. It looked like this: , "", Reptile man This land has no important leaders.

4. Check the Civilizations screen; it will not list human, elven, or goblin civilizations. That screen only lists civs that your fortress has come in contact with (i.e., that have entered your map). Feel free to reopen this issue if that doesn't explain your observations. |
