Summary0002988: Game crashes with an error when I reclaim
DescriptionMy fortress was wiped out, and when I go to reclaim it, it crashes to desktop with the standard XP error message (the "has encountered a problem and has to close" one). It does this consistently, I think it must be save corruption. Is there any way to recover it, I had rather a nice site.

Please upload your save to http://dffd.wimbli.com/

Does your errorlog contain the "Extra Item Occupancy" error, as in 0002422?

I'm having trouble registering there, I'm afraid. I'm still waiting on the email to sign up. I've checked the error log, and all it contains is "path fail: dwarf,Construct Building,273,144,172 -> 279,146,172: Id 0006303:Path Goal Clean Building Site:Station Wagon at 233,117,172". I don't know if this has anything to do with it though, or if it's an old problem.

OK, I've got my account working, so I'm uploading it now. Here's the link: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=2963
I should probably also say that I've tried this on my OS X install too, and it works just fine. I've reclaimed the fortress and am continuing happily. It's just on windows this file consistently crashes.

I can't reproduce this on 31.12 Legacy, on Vista (I no longer have SDL for this version, so I can't check it).

I also tried in 31.21 to see if any new error types were logged, but nothing in errorlog.txt.

See 0000252 for the friendly goblins on reclaim.

However, I'm not getting a crash. Someone will have to test this on XP and SDL to verify the crash.

Reminder sent to: WJSabey

Do you remember if you were using the SDL or Legacy version of DF?

Also, can you reload this save in XP and verify the crash?

Unable to get this to crash with my setup.

WJSabey, if you are able to retest this, please do so and reopen this report if you can confirm the crash.

If anyone else is able to reproduce this, please PM me on the forums.
