Summary | 0003051: Dwarves can't use workshops -- workshops are forbidden but not marked as such
Description | In a recent game my dwarves suddenly refused to use their workshops . Building new workshops and using them was okay but using the old workshops had apparently become some kind of dorf faux-pas. They would all rather just hang out with the camel that I chained up a couple of z-levels above, even after I had removed the room surrounding it. Maybe it had something to do with that, or maybe it was because it had forbid the use of slate stones which the dwarves interpreted as including the use of workshops made from slate stones, or maybe not..
Steps To Reproduce | Making a rope restraint room and assigning a camel to it, or forbidding the use of stones that have also been used to build workshops?

Did you accidentally forbid the stones used in the construction of the workshop? |

maybe it was because it had forbid the use of slate stones which the dwarves interpreted as including the use of workshops made from slate stones Yes, if the workshops are made from slate, and you forbid all your slate, the workshops are now forbidden. Does that clear things up? |
|
It certainly does. It still seems like a bug, though. |
|
While it's extremely annoying, this isn't technically a bug. |
