Summary0000411: Injury of mayor removes position from noble screen
DescriptionMayor was injured by a tantruming wood cutter, and the position of mayor is no longer visible in the nobles screen.

A side affect of this, and maybe due to the lack of said mayor position, is that I can no longer (r)eplace other positions in the noble screen.

The mayor is listed as immobilized or some-such, laying in the hospital.
Additional InformationUpon checking up on the mayor, he had no injuries at all.
A short time after, he got up and was fine.

The mayor position did not re-appear on the noble screen.

This was all begun by not being prepared for my first titan, and losing five dwarves. Miasma drove him nuts.

Lost another 8 or so to his axe.
Mayor survived thanks to the chainmail he was wearing, and the pickaxe he fought the woodworker with. It was truely an epic dorfin story.

Ah sorry. I looked for this using the tag mayor, not noble.
My mistake.

EDIT: Also, my noble didn't die, he was still living and perfectly healthy.
He also was my mayor for years, so I know he didn't die.

Alas, all of my other noble positions are still there, if irreplaceable.

This bug seems to have also broken my military in the sense that nothing I do will get them to train, or even activate as actual military.

I think this is because the commanders are part of the noble screen, which is broken.

No worries, mistakes happen and yours is enough different that it is kind of a separate thing. You're the first case I've heard of of a expedition leader/mayor borking up the nobles screen without actually meeting an untimely end.

I put those link tags up as a labor saving device for the powers that be, and nuke them after I notice that information has migrated up to the relationships tab. It makes the big important peoples happy. ;)

Maybe its injury that is causing the problem, and not death.

After all, you must be injured to die.

That would make sense. Hospital code is likely not agreeing with noble positions, breaking them in some way. The act of going to the hospital is likely causing the problem.

This bug should be resolved for 0.31.05.
