Summary | 0000642: Garbage Dump Quantum Stockpile
Description | Garbage dumps that aren't near open space act as quantum stockpiles, regardless of how big you make them, dwarves will only use one tile for dumping objects. Intentional?
Steps To Reproduce | Create a garbage dump on flat ground. Designate multiple objects for dumping. Observe.
Tags | Intentional/Expected?

Behavior is consistent with 40d. This is probably intentional, for now at least. |

I think this is general problem with zones. If the zone has multiple tiles, they'll still only use the "first" valid one for zone jobs. |
|
I think it's the closest, not the "first"; I've had a 3x3 garbage zone where dwarves would pile stuff into 5 tiles, with the majority being in one of two tiles. The usage corresponded roughly to the direction they were most likely to come from, and the 4 tiles with no items were the center tile and 3 tiles in a direction with no dump items declared. |
|
Mainly bug is a unlimited feature of garbage zone. Is there are ticket for this? |
