| Description | I set prepare lavish meals on a new fortress and the first few roasts turned out normally but when it got to dwarven sugar, the entirety of the sugar in the fortress was turned into roast. The resulting stack of 94 roast was impressive but I'm not sure it's working as intended. Have not tried with other powders such as flour yet. | ||||

A screenshot of the item description (including the ingredients) would be helpful. If the meals actually contain more than 4 ingredients, my guess is that the job incorrectly selected 4 mill barrels instead of the bags within them. |

Yeah, I embarked with 66 units of sugar in three bags, and when I tried to make a lavish meal it said I didn't have enough food, even though each bag contained multiple stacks of "dwarven sugar [5]". It worked when I added a job for "fine meal", which used all three bags and all 66 units of sugar. |

i just witnessed it happening again. cook made a quarry bush leaf roast with 5 ingredients, he carried individual stacks of leaf to the kitchen, taking them out of their bags in the farmers workshop. i didnt see him carry a fifth stack of leaves, maybe he actually took only 4 and the reaction was screwed up otherwise? its just a guess tho, didnt watch closely enough to be sure. the whole thing was worth 50.000 bucks for a stack of 103. |

This may be fallout from the fix for 0003034 which allowed multiple job materials to be taken from a single "stack". |

here is another one http://i.imgur.com/BbSLqaD.gif note that in this case - onions and radish are both growth(fruit) items that dont get harvested into bags, they appear as plain stacks - alfalfa sprouts and green chili are also growth items, but should occur in bags - any of these items may or may not have been in a barrel at the time of creation - maximum individual stack size for any of these is 5 21x onion 2x alfalfa sprouts 1x radish 1x green chili conclusion: has probably nothing to do with bags or barrels *update* evidently there can also be used more than 4 different types of ingredient, my cook just a made a meal containing 5, with one of them used twice, totalling 6 ingredients. i zoomed in to the kitchen pretty much instantly and there was no barrel present. |

My cook has created several such roasts. I caught one immediately, and observed a "spice barrel" filled with fruit sitting in the kitchen. The fruit remaining in the barrel had cooking disabled in the kitchen menu. The cook had emptied the barrel of the only cook-enabled fruit (bayberries), and added nearly 60 bayberry stacks to a single meal. All the bayberries were collected on site, and to my knowledge none were stored in bags. |

Still happening in 0.42.03. I had (actually, still *have*) a "spice barrel" full of fruit in the kitchen. There is also a recently-completed stack of roasts in the kitchen, freshly made with multiple stacks of purple amaranth leaf, spinach leaf, quarry bush leaf, ... and two stacks of hazel nuts. (I was going to type it all in, but it's really long.) The remaining ingredients in the spice barrel are fruits that I marked as Brew only, not allowed to be cooked. |

I have a stack of =macadamia nut roast [137]=. The meal has approximately 40 ingredients. The total value of the stack is 33017, or 241 per serving. Lots of varied ingredients including: durian, lime, lychee, avocado, white yams, and macadamia nuts. Confirmed in vanilla v0.44.12. My cook used two "spice barrels" as ingredients in a lavish meal, producing a stack of 2002 roasts. In this case there were no bags in the barrels, just plant growths. |

There's a similar issue with milk in barrels/pots, every unit in the barrel is minced individually resulting in hundreds of ingredients and absurd value. This happens every time you cook milk in barrels. v50, not tried in previous versions. Roast worth 1.6M dwarfbucks: https://imgur.com/a/TsCxohQ |

I've personally replicated the "milk meal" glitch in a DF version released back in January 2007, so that one's definitely very old. |
