Summary | 0007872: Trees growing through bridges
Description | I channeled a hole for above-ground farm plots and roofed over the opening with a green-glass bridge. Two trees have grown through the bridge (the trunk is below the bridge, extends through the bridge, with branches and leaves on the z-level above the bridge. The bridge, at this point, appears intact and undamaged.
Steps To Reproduce | build a bridge over some saplings and wait

Are dwarves able to path over that bridge? According to 0008756, "Trees growing under bridges prevent bridges from being used" they should not. |
|
It depends what part of the tree is at "bridge level". Thick branches are walkable. Twigs are not. Trunks block the tile. Since the bridge was serving as a roof, dwarves were not frequently pathing over it. Although I believe the problem summary is quite sufficient, I did upload this fortress for a different bug report; you can access it here: http://dffd.bay12games.com/file.php?id=10678 |

Oh, so the pathing is just subject to different parts of tree that are in the way. I read 0008756 as "all tiles of bridge are now unaccessible after tree grow under it" but maybe Deboche just got lots of twigs there. |
