Summary | 0008569: Artifact completed outside of workshop.
Description | A dwarf in a strange mood claimed a mason's workshop, brought over the required items, then began his mysterious construction. Shortly afterwards I noticed he was about 30 blocks away from the shop, standing still. After waiting a little while he completed the artifact as usual, all while standing in the wood stockpile. I didn't see when he moved but there were Gray Langurs running around terrorizing the populace at the time so I would assume dwarves can be scared out of their workshops while in a mood without stopping the task properly.

Observed in 0.40.24: I ran into a similar but worse case: my duchess got a fey mood (mining), collected all items for her project and started working on it, then left the workshop to punch a grey langur. After killing the monkey, she stayed stuck in the place of the fight for six weeks (afaik standard time for stalled moods), then went insane. She left the workshop when a horde of grey langurs invaded, so it seems that it's the brawling/must-confront-thieves code's fault. Save here, near the afflicted dwarf (the one showing "strange mood"), three days before going insane (happened on 4 Timber when i let it run before crashing back to the pre-snap save). http://dffd.bay12games.com/file.php?id=10600 |
