| Description | Slurry stored in a dedicated stockpile on the floor (not in bins/barrels) triggers a 'Clean' job, which results in the stored slurry being destroyed. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Create a dedicated slurry stockpile, using the categories under food. Wait for slurry to be moved from a quern to the stockpile, and watch as a dwarf quickly comes to clean up the mess, and destroys the slurry. | ||||
| Additional Information | The save linked below has a fort with a papermaking industry. The relevant stockpile should be in the centre of the window when the save is opened, and also under the F1 zoom hotkey. There are a number of piles of slurry in a dedicated stockpile around a Screwpress, ready to be pressed. A purple dwarf is at the bottom of the stockpile in the middle of a 'Clean' job, which will destroy the slurry. Unfortunately I did not catch the dwarf on their way to the pile, only once they arrived, but you can see there are no other contaminants which require cleaning. The work around is to do away with the stockpile and the slurry is 'stored' on the Screwpress quite safely, and used succesfully to make sheets. Can confirm that slurry stored on the ground is immediately "cleaned" by an idle dwarf. |

You can store the slurry in a barrel or a large pot, and the dwarves will not try to clean it. |

Honey, a similar glob like material cannot be stored away where it would not be cleaned into barrels etc 0010302 Both honey, slurry and other similar liquids (besides dwarven syrup which is made & stored directly into a barrel already on creation) desperately need some ability to be decanted into barrels using the tools we already have available (jugs or put in by hand) as a resolution to these bugs. Spilling & needing to clean up slurry might yet be seen as a intentional result of a spilt bucket or jug but not in this context of being on a stockpile. |
