| Description | I embarked on a Tundra with a heterosexual female alpaca and a homosexual male alpaca. About a year later the female alpaca gave birth to another female. I figured maybe it was already pregnant at embark (don't know if that is possible or not), but then about it gave birth again a year later. | ||||

The alpaca is actually bisexual. DFHack's gui/gm-editor reveals it will marry males and romance females. Dwarf Therapist displays the "dominant" trait (i.e. marry males) in this case. A relatively recent DF correction is that animals no longer require commitment to marriage for procreation, although the underlying romance/commitment to marriage flags are still generated for animals, either one of them is now sufficient for procreation. You can have same situation with dwarves, where DT reported hetero (or homo) dwarves nevertheless enters a lover relation with a member of the "wrong" gender. |
