Summary | 0010298: Retirement/Unretire resurrects dead dwarfs?
Description | I retired my fortress so I could go play a new one. I retire that one after ten years, and go into legends mode and I see that the baroness of the old fortress, and her husband the militia commander, died in a goblin attack. So I went and unretired it to see who replaced them... and they were both brought back to life? So I set the militia commander back to his command position, and retired again. Now I'm looking at him in legends mode and it says 5 years after he was struck down he became militia commander again?
Steps To Reproduce | Retire a fort, wait for someone to die, then reclaim it. It should bring them back to life, because I think it saved the units who were there when I retired, and just brought them back? Nothing had changed in the ten years I was gone, not even people's moods, but there were about 150 human visitors just hanging out and some random skeletons scattered around. Also I unpaused for a second and the king started complaining about not having rooms, even though he had them, and about 20 doors couldn't be completed?
