Description | Dwarfs walking through blood stains, booze puddles, or spilled sand can track those things over an unlimited area. I would need a Noah's Flood to get rid of it all. Actually, I suspect a flood would get rid of absolutely none of it. This is very, very annoying. I think it might be possible to nip this in the bud by constructing floors over every stain, but I'm not at all sure of that, and besides, that's not practical when I'm reclaiming a site where I previously embarked with 100 bags of sand.
Instead of being unlimited, every stain and puddle should contain a limited amount of stuff, which should be depleted every time a dwarf steps in it until it reaches a minimal value, at which point dwarves can no longer spread stuff by walking through that particular puddle. And if isn't possible already, you should make it possible for flowing water to wash away stains and spilled sand. |
