Summary | 0000842: Primitive civ creatures become friendly upon receiving names
Description | Members of "Primitive civs", such as Cave Swallow Pepole, are listed as "Friendly" on units screen, and become as such when given names by the dwarves, right next to other members who are "Hostile". http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/tt285/schilcote/CaveSwallowFriends.jpg
Steps To Reproduce | Allow animal-men to gain names (I believe they received them from killing a great number of military dwarves).

I had something similar happen in one of my forts; some antmen were fighting a Forgotten Beast and managed to kill it, earning the one survivor a name. That creature became friendly, but continued to scare my dwarves silly when it wandered into the fortress proper. |

Not sure if you meant "...when given names by dwarves" that you mean when they name them after a time or when the primitive peoples actually kill a dwarf and receive a name. If the former, then I add that it happens from the latter as well. I can upload a save if need be. The major problem is that when there are others in the primitive's group still alive and attacking, soldiers ordered to kill the hostiles will instead go stand by the named friendly one and do nothing. |
|
Not sure if a save is absolutely necessary for this, but if someone has one, please compress (.zip) you DF/data/save/region folder, upload it to http://dffd.wimbli.com, post a link here or notify a manager on the forums. |
